Updates on Canada 150. Ann Marshall attended meeting with overall planning committees: At the site all day there are the kids games being done by parks and rec, and the activities provided by art<\/span> rave<\/span>, arts<\/span> and craft vendors,\u00a0 etc. HMCS Edmonton will be in town for the event, so there will be some activities around that, but as yet unknown. Lots of jawing about syncing parade and triconic and those logistics. I let them know what we were planning, lanterns, kids activities, plein air etc., and offered to liase only with the vendor planning, to keep them apprised of plien air participants and demo artists<\/span> etc.<\/p>\n IMPORTANT: Theresa is stressing the importance of clear standardized formats for promotions, would like each group involved to have one person who will meet to get standard formats (colour font sponsor logo sizing etc) for the overall event. \nBarry met with music committee:
\n-a secondary stage at corner of market area is going to put up for buskers, poets etc.
\n-3-11 pm Barry will be in charge of musical activities, mostly featuring mystic groove with guests (local musicians joining in to do a few of their pieces with the group.
\n– Jason Titian is up for doing a demo artist<\/span> thing
\n– Budget for music \u2013 Barry requested 1500 from art<\/span> rave<\/span> funds, but doesn\u2019t know the actual figure of what is apportioned.
\n-Barry has brought up idea of sponsorship at the TD, he is pursuing, also thought it would be good to have people go approach other local businesses, would need volunteers for that.<\/p>\n
