Board Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Call to order: at 6:40 pm<\/p>\n

2. Adoption of agenda \u2013 addition – Wes\u2019 request for $50.00 a month to cover hydro costs at Island Gallery agenda (to be voted on).<\/p>\n

Establishment of committee for juried Arts Show
\n\u201c \u201d non-juried Arts Show
\nmotion passed.<\/p>\n

3. Adoption of previous board meeting minutes \u2013 motion passed<\/p>\n

4. Correspondence \u2013
\nRegarding the letter from the City, \u2018Community Investment Program\u2019 George will follow up with a call to Theresa Kingston to clarify use of funds.<\/p>\n

\nWes confirmed responses to invitation to January 30th Stakeholder\u2019s meeting @ 7 at the Capitol Theatre: Uptown Bus Assoc, Young Prof. of Alberni Valley,YPAV Brent Ronning of Capitol Theatre, Theresa Bird of Rotary, Pat Deakin of city (Econ dev) Mellissa of Rollin Arts Centre.<\/p>\n

\nMichael reported on the meeting he attended a Char\u2019s \u2018Getting them Here\u2019 \u2013 There is a brochure in the works of Summer events in the Alberni Valley this is being led by Theresa Bird.
\nTreasurer
\nGeorge reported Art Rave\u2019s Revenue is still $338.69 with the $2000.00 from the city being held in reserve.<\/p>\n

6. Old Business \u2013
\nmeetings taking place re Argyle St Business revitalization:
\nJan 22nd @ Char\u2019s \u2013 YPAV @ 5pm
\nJan 24th at Swale Rock Uptown Business Assoc @7 pm
\nJan 30th at Capitol Theatre \u2013 Art Rave presentation\/discussion with Stakeholders @7pm
\nArt Rave General membership Meeting at Islands Gallery @ 7pm.
\nFeb 20th at Char\u2019s Rotary \u2018Getting them Here\u2019 @ 4 pm<\/p>\n

7. New Business \u2013
\n– Setting the date for Art Rave Juried Art Show \u2013 Aug 17th, 18th (set up 15th, 16th,\u00a0take down 19th). All in favour, motion was passed
\n– letter to service groups \u2013 tabled – George and Colleen to work on it this coming week
\n– Resignation of Chris Doman as Member at Large \u2013 Chris has said he would still like to be involved with Juried Arts Show \u2013
\nTask list for CWY \u2013 Colleen, to work on this with input from others\u2013
\nCommunication with members \u2013 George working on the website with CWY allowing for members to access info, post info \u2013 The on-line application process is being researched for artists to submit work for the juried Arts Show
\nWes requesting $50.00 per month for hydro from Art Rave to cover costs of use of space at Islands Gallery \u2013 motion was passed
\nCommittee for juried arts show has commitment for Richard Skipp, George Bowden, Colleen Clancy, Tamas Zalatnai<\/p>\n
